Peter begann im Alter von dreizehn Jahren in Manchester, Großbritannien, Dudelsack zu spielen. Er lernte in der Northenden Pipe Band und trat später der Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force Pipe Band bei. Peter spielte in beiden Bands, bis er achtzehn wurde, und spielte dann in Grade 1 in der Cullybackey Pipe Band.

 

Mit neunzehn Jahren trat Peter der britischen Armee bei und diente sechs Jahre lang in den Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. Während dieser Zeit besuchte er die Army School of Bagpiping and Highland Drumming, spielte bei verschiedenen zeremoniellen Veranstaltungen und spielte für Mitglieder der königlichen Familie, darunter Königin Elisabeth II. Dies alles geschah neben seiner Militärkarriere als Jackal Driver und später als Gunner. Parallel zu seiner Tätigkeit als Dudelsackspieler in der Armee schloss sich Peter auch für eine Saison der Vale of Atholl in Grade 1 an, bevor er für zwei Saisons der City of Discovery Pipe Band in Grade 2 beitrat.

 

Nachdem Peter die Armee verlassen hatte, zog er nach Deutschland. Er schloss sich dem Crest of Gordon an und hilft jetzt beim Unterrichten der Band.  Im Jahr 2024 schloss sich Peter der Uddingston Pipe Band in Grade 2 an, mit der die Band die schottischen Meisterschaften in Dumbarton gewann.

 

Peter lebt jetzt zufrieden mit seiner Verlobten in Deutschland. Er engagiert sich für die Förderung des Great Highland Bagpipe, der schottischen und irischen Kultur und ihrer Musik in Deutschland. 

 

 

 Peter began piping at the age of thirteen in Manchester, UK.  He learnt in the Northenden Pipe Band, and later joined the Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force Pipe Band.  Peter played in both bands until he turned eighteen, where he then went on to play with Cullybackey Pipe band in Grade one.

 

  At the age of ninteen, Peter joined the British Army and served in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards for six years.  During this time, he attended the Army School of Bagpiping and Highland Drumming, played at various ceremonial events, played for members of the Royal Family including the Queen Elisabeth II.  This was all took place alongside his military career as a Jackal Driver, and later a Gunner.  Parallel to piping in the army, Peter also joined the Vale of Atholl in Grade 1 for a season, before joining the City of Discovery Pipe Band in Grade 2 for two seasons. 

 

  After Peter left the army, he moved to Germany.  He joined the Crest of Gordon and now helps teach the band.  In 2024, Peter joined the Uddingston Pipe Band, where the band won the Scottish Championships in Dumbarton. 

 

  Peter now lives contently in Germany with his fiancé. He is commited to help promote the Great Highland Bagpipe, Scottish and Irish Culture, and it’s music in Germany.
