Hi Drummers...

... Now we need your help and opinion... The Bagpipe Association of Germany has written out a snare-drumscore writing competition to the 3/4 March "Conquering Breuberg Castle" and now we need YOU to decide which composition you think is the best...

The BAG already made a pre-selection, so now it is down to a choice of four. You can download the scores here; they are numbered 1, 2, 3 & 4. If you want to hear the audio tracks you can click on the relevant audiolink in the PDF & AUDIO section.

So let us know which composition is your favourite! Voting ends on the 31st of March 2022. When the result is known, all your names will be removed from our site.

The tune "Conquering Breuberg Castle" is a 3/4 March, composed by Thomas Wandt from Frankfurt. (For those of you who don't know this... Breuberg Castle is a famous location near Darmstadt, where the BAG hosts its yearly summerschool week, this year for the 40th time, so there is some "history"...) This tune won the BAG composer competition last year and the BAG thought it would be a good idea to initiate a drumscore writing competition as well. So thank you for helping us out!
