Dojo University: Free online workshops

As part of my ongoing mission to help pipers around the world improve their confidence, skill, and knowledge of the bagpipes, I am putting together some FREE online workshops this winter for anyone who’d like to attend.

I’m running the first one on Sunday November 14th, at 1pm New York Time, called 11 Reasons Pipers Fail.

The workshop will explore why happiness doesn’t live on the other side of “success” for pipers, and where we might actually look to find happiness (or fulfilment, or whatever it is you’re looking for) along the journey of learning to play this wonderful instrument.

I’ve developed the content for this workshop from tried and tested methods I’ve used with students, bands, and in my own professional-level career as a soloist and band player for more than 20 years.

Attendees should come away with some huge insights into what’s been missing so far in their musical journey, and have a great sense of what they can do – starting right now – to begin rocketing towards bagpiping success… however that looks for them.

This will be targeted primarily to pipers, and should greatly benefit soloists, band players, AND teachers/pipe-majors. While it’ll be piping focused, I suspect drummers can get a lot out of the presentation as well.
